This adjustable thermostat is designed to automatically regulate the fan's operation based on a user-adjusted set temperature level, which signals the fan to turn off once the desired temperature has been reached, and turn on when the temperature rises 15° above the setting. Choose a location where the box can be suspended from a rafter and the sensor is not blocked, then mount using wood screws. Your preferred temperature setting depends on average regional temperatures—a setting too low will run the fan continuously, and a setting too high will result in insufficient air turns for proper ventilation.
For use only with Maxx Air, Cool Attic, and Ventamatic solar powered attic vents. This motor is compatible with roof mount CXSOLR and CXSOLRF series, and gable mount VX2515SOLAR and CXSOLGB models.
